The challenge

Building credibility for funders and donors

SEVA had been doing excellent grassroots work across West Bengal for years, but their online presence was minimal — a basic website with outdated content and no donation functionality.

Grant applications were failing partly because funders couldn't verify SEVA's work online. Individual donors had no way to give money directly. The team needed a credible, functional website without a large budget or a technical hire.

Our solution

Credibility-first, self-managing design

We built on WordPress with a custom theme — chosen for ease of use and content flexibility. The site structure was designed to answer the questions that funders and corporate CSR teams ask first: who are you, what do you do, where do you work, and can I trust you?

Donation integration was built in from day one, with a clear call-to-action on every page. The CMS was set up so that programme officers — not a developer — could add impact stories, event updates, and annual reports.
